2026 Lifesaving Society & WSIB First Aid Course Updates
The Lifesaving Society (LSS) has updated its First Aid and CPR programs effective June 22, 2026 to align with the latest workplace first aid requirements established by Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), the new CSA Z1210:24 Standard for Workplace First Aid Training, and current evidence-based resuscitation guidelines developed by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR)26. These updates are designed to ensure that participants receive the most current training in emergency response, CPR, AED use, workplace safety, and injury management. As a result, several course names have changed and course content has been updated to better reflect the skills and competencies required of today’s workplace first aiders and emergency responders. As an official LSS affiliate, it is Coral First Aid’s responsibility to also reflect these changes to meet WSIB & LSS requirements as well as provide quality course delivery.
