| Emergency First Aid with AED and CPR-B ** This course focuses on the principles of first aid, along with victim assessment, and treatment of major bleeding, choking, heart attack, stroke, wounds, and burns. Participants will be taught CPR procedures for infants, children, and adults as well as AED activation. This course is recommended for parents, guardians, and babysitters. This course does not include Anaphylaxis management. | Standard First Aid with AED and CPR-C ** Standard First Aid covers all aspects of first aid. This course covers all items covered in Emergency First Aid with a more in-depth focus on secondary injuries. Some of these items include spinal injuries, heat and cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, and chest injuries. CPR-C (Adult, Child, and Infant) is covered in this course along with two-rescuer CPR and AED activation procedures. This course is recommended for Lifeguards, Child Care Workers, Security Guards, Personal Trainers, etc. Excluding Health Care Practitioners. | SFA CPR-C Recertification Participants who have previously taken a Standard First Aid with AED and CPR-C full course with Lifesaving Society in the past 3 years are eligible to take the 1-day re-cert course to renew their qualifications. Participants must bring proof of the previous course and must not be past their 3-year expiry date.
